“Most of us spend too much time on what is urgent and not enough time on what is important.” – Steven Covey
Life working in a parish is full. There is nothing as rewarding as participating in the Great Commission (cf. Matthew 28:19) on a daily basis. But between the steady stream of emails and phone calls and the paperwork, it can be easy to replace what is most important with what is most imminent.
You put on retreats for young people. You host training and development events for your volunteers. When was the last time, you went on retreat? When was the last time you were able to dedicate time to growing professionally as well as taking a step back and renewing your vision of parish ministry?
This June 23-25, you are invited to do just that with our first annual FORMED Leaders’ Summit on campus at the Augustine Institute in Denver, Colorado. Our Summit, A Parish Without Walls: Bringing Faith and Fellowship to Where People Are will combine moments of professional development with spiritual encounter and a chance to network with like-minded parish leaders from around the country.
You will return to your parish with a refreshed vision of parish life as well as practical tips to use FORMED to its full potential. Amidst times of intentional prayer and visioning, you will also have the opportunity to engage questions and best practices around specific elements of FORMED.
You already recognize the value of offering a resource like FORMED to your parish community. Now is the time to capitalize on that value and learn to multiply your efforts while firmly fixing your eyes on the Lord.
