GETTING STARTED WITH FORMED
GETTING STARTED
PLAN YOUR LAUNCH
Assemble a Team
Tech Team
This group will help and encourage others to get registered during Launch Weekends. They should be comfortable with both iOS and Android mobile devices. The young people of the parish would be great additions to the Tech Team. The key is to get parishioners registered and make it easy for them to get back into FORMED after they leave.
We have created several FORMED video tutorials that will equip the Tech Team to assist parishioners with registering, resetting passwords, installing the app, signing in, and browsing.

Implementation Team
This group not only helps on Launch Weekends to answer questions and direct users to great content, but also coordinates ongoing promotion, integration of FORMED into existing ministries, and assists in outreach efforts within parish boundaries.
The Implementation Team can consist of parish staff and volunteers. It is important to include on this team the people that take care of your website, parish bulletin, and other communication channels that are used in your parish. Anyone with enthusiasm and creativity would be great additions to the team.

Plan and Execute Launch Weekends
1. PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS
Use digital tools and ready-made promotional materials to introduce FORMED at all Masses on several weekends during the year. Christmas and Easter are great opportunities to reach a large number of people, and the use of digital materials on your website and social media channels will drive FORMED engagement year-round.

2. MOBILE REGISTRATION
Invite parishioners to register on their mobile devices and download the FORMED App at the end of Mass or in the Narthex after Mass. Don’t leave it to chance that they will remember to register at home! Have the Tech Team available in the Narthex after Masses to help people register on the spot. 3. INVOLVE YOUR PASTOR
Involve your Pastor by having him suggest a Parish-Wide Study or a FORMED Pick of the Week as a “homework assignment.” This helps parishioners get familiar with FORMED and encourages them to create healthy and holy media habits.
